FaceBook - Backup ProfileFacebook offers users a feature to download all of items associated with their profiles. This essentially captures the current state of your profile and turns it into a file you can keep on your own computer. This may be a good way for you to get a copy of all of the photos you’ve uploaded, or keep a copy of your profile if you’re going to delete your account. Either way, it might be something you want to do in 2011.

One warning: you’ll want to keep your copy of the files in a secure place. There is no login required to view the content once it’s on your machine.

Here’s how you get a backup copy of your profile:

1) Log in to Facebook
2) In the upper right corner, go to ACCOUNT --> ACCOUNT SETTINGS
3) Look for “Download your information” and click “Learn more”
4) Read the disclaimer and click “download.”
5) Facebook will compile all of your files and send you an e-mail when the zip file is ready to download.
